How does the affiliate work?
Octopus Energy Current Account programme. £50 cash to Econotion + £50 energy credit to you per successful switch. Monthly report, paid within 30 days. This is disclosed on every page carrying the referral link. The affiliate does not affect your tariff, price, or service level.
Is this a genuine recommendation?
Yes. We recommend Octopus because Agile and Intelligent Flux are objectively the best tariffs for solar, battery and V2G owners. The affiliate income is a bonus, not the reason. If Octopus were not the best option, we would say so — our independence is worth more than £50.
What if Octopus is not right for me?
We will tell you. If you are already on OVO Heat Pump Plus, or locked into an OVO solar package, OVO may be a better fit. We never recommend Octopus when it is not genuinely the best option. Our savings calculator models your actual situation before recommending anything.
What suppliers do you NOT recommend?
We do not pursue home energy energy brokerage commissions (Scottish Power, British Gas, E.ON, EDF) because those commissions are embedded in the energy price the client pays. This is a direct conflict of interest. British Gas offer vouchers, Scottish Power offer loyalty points — neither is cash and neither serves the customer.
